Holden cars are an Australian institution. Holden was founded in Victoria, Australia in 1856 as a leather goods and saddler company, but later on migrated into the auto field and became a subsidiary of General Motors. Holden manufactures a broad range of models including the Commodore Omega, the Commodore VE, Pontiac GTO, the Clubsport and more. Holden has part ownership of Daewoo in South Korea. Holden manufactures most of its vehicles here in Australia with only minimal importing from overseas.
